Your Questions, Answered

An initial consultation is free; we can talk about your dreams, and aspirations, and see if I can help. Every project is unique, but I’ll share budgetary pricing at the bottom of the page.
-
No. There is an upfront fee that pays for the time it takes me to learn everything I need to know about your company to develop a concept and a script.
-
Absolutely. Have before, and happy to do it again.
-
Yes, I’ve done both. I’d try to talk you out of both for reasons I’ll share privately, but if you insist, and the check clears, I’m happy to do it.
-
It depends. For dinners, I’ve found 20, two tables of 10, works best; anything bigger than four rounds of six (24 total) starts to feel less intimate and can get down right unwieldy. If there is a reason to do a larger group, let’s talk.

As I write in My Process, I will help with landing page copy and photography, outbound email copy, and a phone call script. I’d also love to be given a few minutes on a Sales All-Hands call to share the concept with sellers so they understand why this will be a dinner their prospects won’t want to miss. And if there are a couple folks within my network that would be a good fit based on the companies and personas you sell to, I’ll be happy to extend an invitation.
Ultimately, though, I am but one man. Your AEs, BDRs, and CSMs should be able to fill an intimate dinner, especially once they hear how fun it will be.

For the dinner itself, paid to the restaurant and not to me, I like to budget $500/pp. Yes, that’s high, but for budgetary purposes, that’s better than “blowing the budget” later. A fine 3-5 course dinner is around $200/pp before wine and cocktails (another $75-$100/pp). Some restaurants charge room fees, A/V fee, tax and gratuity. If you budget $10K for a 20 person dinner and come in at $8K, that’s great!
-
Yes and no. I’m happy to help with scouting restaurants in a city and confirming the room will meet our needs. I am happy to communicate with the restaurant about any special needs for the dinner (there are almost always special needs for my dinners).
But contracts, deposits, minimums, and all of that are best handled by your field marketing team.
-
No! My goal is that your guests believe I’m an employee. I will not lie to the audience and claim to be an employee when I am not, but I will simply introduce myself as the host of the dinner.
Nowhere in my presentation will I mention Dinner-Led Growth and no promotional materials about the dinner will reference it…unless you wanted to! If you thought it would be helpful to advertise it as a Dinner-Led Growth joint, I won’t argue! But otherwise, you are hiring me to generate pipeline for you, not for me.
-
Sure! You own the script once I’m done with it. I’d like to think no one will perform my script better than me, but if you have an employee in mind, I’ll teach them anything they need to know to pull it off.
-
Absolutely! We’ll want to make sure I can brief them before the event, but I love to perform for cameras.
-
Definitely not! If any of the most exhibitionist tricks make sense in the dinner concept, they’ll be included; if they don’t make obvious sense, they’ll be excluded.

Flexible, expert advice when you need it. Book hourly support across a range of topics—from planning to problem-solving. This focused consultation will help clarify your goals, map out next steps, and identify opportunities for growth.
Designed to energize the room and facilitate natural conversation. Ideal for networking-heavy events where the guest experience is the priority. Think of my role primarily as an emcee, moving the evening along with a few tricks up my sleeve. The fee includes time for me to:
Learn about your company, solutions, and competitors without full immersion; enough to ensure that whatever theatrical elements are added, are relevant.
Develop the concepts that will be incorporated into the dinner.
Handle all logistics and ensure a flawless execution of the dinner itself.
The deliverable here is a few activations sprinkled throughout the dinner. For example, beginning with teaching guests to saber Champagne, an invisible ink bit during one of the courses (if applicable), a flaming cocktail or personalized s’mores finale. There is no formal presentation; conversation at the tables will be led by the company’s executives in attendance. In a 2-2.5 hour dinner, I am speaking or presenting for 15-20 minutes, tops.
One-time fee of $5,000 for limited learning, concept development, and logistics.
-
My signature experience. I don’t just host the dinner; I craft a narrative journey centered on your product. Through deep-dive preparation, I weave your company story into the fabric of the evening, turning guests into advocates.
The examples in the Gallery are this type of experience. I lay out how I approach these types of dinners here.
Pulling this off requires more of everything listed above: more company and product knowledge, including, potentially, how to use the product(s), more time to come up with unique concepts, write a script, create a deck, rehearse, and so on. These are the types of dinners I prefer to do, for what it’s worth.
The deliverable here is an end-to-end dinner experience with your products or solutions at the center of it, but presented in such a way that guests can’t wait to see what happens next. In a 2-2.5 hour dinner, I am speaking or presenting for 30-60 minutes, leaving at least half the time to eat and chat with neighbors and your company executives.
One-time fee of between $10,000-$20,000 depending on the complexity of the solutions and the ultimate concept.

The Per Dinner Fee is inclusive of time spent traveling. In other words, a dinner in New York is $5,000 all-in; I am not also billing hourly for flight time, travel to/from airports, dinner setup, etc.
Bay Area (no hotel stay): $2,500/dinner
U.S. & Canada (overnight): $5,000/dinner
